DAY 1 - Saturday Upon meeting at the Antalya Airport in the morning, transfer to the hotel and check in. At 9.30 am, you're going to be taken from the hotel for transfer to the Bügrüm Bridge, the start of the rafting track. Around 11 am, we arrive at the starting point. After the rafting equipments are distributed and being settled down in the boats, the professional river guides give a briefing about the track and rafting. Now it's time for the fun and excitement that persists about 4 hours. 10 minutes after getting on the boats, we have a brake on the Bügrüm Bridge for photographing and sightseeing. If you wish, you may jump into the river from the bridge or the rocks. As we finish the track's first half (7 km), we stop over for lunch at a restaurant on the river coast and following lunch, we go on with rafting. As we finish the two tracks (5 km), we carry our boats to the coast and end our rafting tour. At 6 pm, we go back to the hotel. DAY 2 - Sunday You'll explore the historical and natural beauties by means of 4x4 vehicles. After leaving the hotel at 9.30 am, we visit the Antique City of Selaukia, Nifriti Bridge, Oymapinar and Küçükkepez dams, Titreyengöl and the ostrich farm. | Spesific Information | Personal Equipment that you should bring: For rafting, you'll only need your bathing suit and a pair of trainers. The ones who have to use glasses should tie cords to their glasses, so that they don't lose them. You may wear whatever you want in the safari (2nd day). But it is important that you are protecting yourself from the sun. Don't forget to bring your sun lotion, hat, towel and camera. What about a rafting tour on the spring water with a heat of 13 degrees, when it's 30-40 degrees under the sun and 24-27 degrees in the sea? Boat, oar, life jacket and helmet are provided by our agency. The only thing you have to do in order to join this enjoyable tour is to bring your bathing suit and a pair of shoes, which can get wet. The 12-km-long rafting track has difficulty levels between 1-3 and any age group may join. There are lots of water and hardly any risk of an accident. 8-10 people can easily get into a boat. There are also some kayaking boats for 2 people. Both of them are used in this route. The water of Köprüçay is very pure and drinkable especially during the summer months. The depth changes between 1-5 m. We get into the boats at around 11 am. The rafters who are being informed by the guides ahead of the tour experience the pleasure of rowing and routing the boat during the 7-km-lap. After having lunch around 1 pm, we get into the boats once more and depart for the 5-km-track, which persists 2.5 hours and ends 3 km ahead of Beskonak. Small waterfalls, fast flowing regions are found here. As the guide's instructions get mixed with the screams, the tour members cheer up even more. The other laps are full of contests and animations. All the animations and jokes are full of water. There is also a mud bath, which seems to be created only for photographing. The rafting adventure ends at about 4 pm. The rafters who have concluded the laps successfully may buy their photos that are speedily taken and printed by professional photographers. The Antique City of Seleukia isn't a very important settlement. However its location is outstanding. The remains of this city, which you can reach after passing through dense forests, are spread in a wide area facing the Manavgat plain. You'll also have the chance of watching the vast Manavgat plain besides Side, Sorgun and Titreyengöl. Turkish Baths, agora in which many shops are found and a temple next to the agora are some of the remains you may visit. The road passing by the Village of Oymapinar reaches to the entrance of the Oymapinar Dam. It's quite exciting to stroll on the 180-m-high Oymapinar Dam, which is constructed in a narrow valley. On one side is the 180-m-high cliff and on the other side is the concrete body, which stands firm against the enormous pressure of the dam lake that has a depth of more than 180 m. and turns this potential energy into electricity. In the region spread around the sea, there are many institutions constructed between the pine trees and this region is called Titreyengöl. Titreyengöl isn't actually a lake as it suggests. It resembled a lake as one of the branches of the Manavgat River narrowed and the current slowed down considerably before flowing into the sea. Since the water seems like it's trembling when the wind blows, the people started to call it "The Trembling Lake" or Titreyen Göl. It's surrounded by sparse trees. You'll come across to the institutions that teach horseback riding and arrange tours for the riders in the forest. The neighborhood is prearranged and mini roads are constructed. The soil road through the forest is appropriate for the transportation by car. This road that is almost 4 km long reaches first to the Manavgat River and then to the point where the river flows into the sea. Here, one comes across to the beach huts filling the area between Side-Sorgun. Some of the huts that are found on the bank of the river are turned into restaurants. |
