Türkiye is the only
country in the world where jews expelled from Spain have lived for
five centuries peacefully and continuously, indistinguishable from
non-jewish Turks

RABBI FOR TÜRKIYE TO WORLD JEWS "I take this opportunity to express
my support for the project of celebrating 500 years of peaceful,
safe and harmonious living of the Jews in Türkiye. it will be my
pleasure to welcome my Jewish sisters and brothers in Türkiye
Rabbi
David Asseo, Chief Rabbi of Türkiye.
Day 1 - Meeting at
Istanbul Atatürk Airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 2 - Start after
breakfast in a centuries-old Jewish neighborhood, Galata, with its
tower built by the Genoese. Visit Neve Shalom Synagogue, the
Zulfaris Jewish Museum of "The Quincentennial Foundation'', once a
synagogue. Lunch and visit to world-famous Topkapı Palace and the
Grand Covered Bazaar.
Day 3 - Bosphorus
Cruise with private yacht. Visit to Spice (Egyptian) Bazaar and
Rumeli Fortress, Lunch at a typical Turkish restaurant. Two
Continents Tour in the afternoon. Visit to Dolmabahçe Palace and
Asiatic side of Istanbul crossing Bosphorus Bridge connecting the
two continents..
Day 4 - Drive to
the Balat, neighborhood where the Star Of David appears on the
facades of some buildings. Visit the Ahrida Synagogue, built in the
15th. century . Drive along the Golden Horn. En route, see the ''Jewish
Home for the Aged'', Jewish Hospital, Jewish Cemetary. Lunch in a
fine restaurant. Afternoon visit to St. Sophie, Blue Mosque,
Hippodrome.
Day 5 / 6 Free days
with optional tour possibilities in Istanbul.
Day 7 Transfer to
airport.
