ATHENS - CORINTH - EPIDAURUS - MYCENAE - DELPHI - METEORA -
THESSALONIKI - KAVALA - VERIA
1ST DAY:
Arrival in Athens Airport. Transfer with our representative to Hotel.
2ND DAY: In
the morning we enjoy a full sightseeing tour in Athens, including
Acropolis and the famous Parthenon and Erechtheum. Then we go to
nearby Mars Hill Areopagus where the Apostle Paul delivered his
soulstirring sermon to the giants of philosophy, logic and learning.
Our tour continues with the highlights of modern Athens.
3RD DAY: Out
travel continues with a daily excursion to Corinth, Mycenae and
Epidaurus. It was Corinth where the Apostle Paul lived and preached
for a year and a half, and to this church he wrote two of his new
Testament Letters. Overnight in Loutraki.
4TH DAY:
After breakfast departure to Rio and cross by car-ferry to Antirrio.
Travel to Delphi. Visit to the main archaeological sites. We depart
from Delphi to Kalambaka.
5TH DAY:
Visit to Meteora monasteries of the 14th century, Grand Meteora,
Varlaam, Agia Trias, Agios Stefanos. In the afternoon departure to
Thessaloniki.
6TH DAY:
After breakfast visit to highlights of the city such as the Museum,
the Church of Agios Dimitrios, Rotonda, the Church of Agia Sofia,
the White Tower. Departure to Amfipolis - Kavala.
7TH DAY: In
the morning visiting to Philippi, the city of King Philippos (father
of Alexander the Great), the first €pean city where Apostle Paul
started preaching Christianity. We continue our tour by visiting
Veria. The Apostle Paul arrived here and according to the custom
went to the Synagogue where he discovered that these Jews were “more
noble” than those he had encountered in Thessaloniki.
8TH DAY:
After breakfast we are transferred to the “Makedonia” airport of
Thessaloniki for departure. |
