DAY 1. ERZURUM
Meet at Erzurum airport, transfer to hotel, welcome cocktail, visiting Çifte
Minareli Medrese ( a 13th. C. Koran School, now used as a museum), Ulu
Mosque, Yakutiye Medrese ( build by the Mongol Prince in 1308, worth
seeing for the relief decoration on its entrance), Citadel, dinner &
O/N in Erzurum,
DAY 2. ERZURUM - YUSUFELI
Breakfast and drive to Yusufeli, visit Tortum waterfalls, Georgian
churches Hahuli, Ösk, İşhan and Dört Kilise on the way, arrive
in Yusufeli, dinner & O/N in Yusufeli,
DAY 3. YUSUFELI
Breakfast and depart for Altiparmak, driving and walking through the
beautiful Barhal stream to the S. side of the Kaçkar Mountains and
Altiparmak Mountains, picnic in the valley, return to hotel, dinner &
O/N in Yusufeli,
DAY 4. YUSUFELI -
AYDER
Breakfast and drive to Çamlihemsin - Ayder Plateau - on the N. side of Kaçkar
Mountains via Artvin, enjoy the panorama and study the carved stone
bridges, build in 18th. C. in Firtina Valley, arrive in Ayder, an idyllic
yayla on the foothills of the magnificent Kaçkar Mountains, dinner and
O/N in Ayder,
DAY 5. AYDER
Breakfast and driving up to Kavron Plateaus by minibus, trekking to
glacier lakes in Çenkovit, return to Ayder, dinner & O/N in Ayder,
DAY 6. AYDER
Breakfast and visiting to Zilkale, Çat and Elevit Plateaus, explore the
nature with beautiful landscapes, fast flowing streams and unique flora,
return to Ayder, dinner & O/N in Ayder,
DAY 7. AYDER - UZUNGÖL
Breakfast and depart for Uzungöl, visit botanic garden in Rize and have
panoramic view of the city on the way, arrive in Uzungöl, an alpine lake
on the foothills of Soganli Mountains, dinner & O/N in Uzungöl,
DAY 8. UZUNGÖL - TRABZON
Breakfast and depart for Sumela Monastery, the 4th. C. monastery clings to
a sheer cliff face in a deep forest, relax in Altindere Valley National
Park, visiting to Hagia Sophia and study the extra ordinary collection of
Byzantine frescoes, and visit Atatürk's Mansion on Soguksu hill, dinner
& O/N Trabzon,
DAY 9. TRABZON
Breakfast and walking to the old marked, free time, an evening transfer to
Trabzon Airport and say farewell... |
