Priene was one of the most active ports of the lonian Federation.
The city is the oldest example of geometric city planning named in
ancient times as Hippodamus. Miletos which has provided its
alphabeth to the rest of the classical world, was a great port and
the hometown of several philosophers and sages. Didyma's Temple of
Apollo with its very well-known oracles was one of the most sacred
places of antiquity. Although looted and burnt several times, it
keeps its original impression. Not far from the site, you will be
impressed from the beautiful beach of Altinkum. Drop to BODRUM...
