PRESIDENT CLINTON'S VISIT TO TURKEY AND THE ARTICLES FROM THE TURKISH NEWSPAPERS

WHITE HOUSE ENTHUSED WITH BINNAZ: During OSCE ISTANBUL SUMMIT, all the American representatives, committee members, and the journalists enjoyed themselves at a party given at Conrad Hotel. All the Americans loved traditional Turkish food and liked to watch the beautiful belly dancer. Most of the visitors who tasted the Turkish delight and our traditional drink 'raki' for the first time stated that they really enjoyed them. |

MEMORY OF ISTANBUL: All the important Presidents of the world came together in Istanbul for the summit. In the summit which was held in Istanbul in November, apart from Clinton (leader of the USA) and Yeltsin (leader of RUSSIA), there were 22 presidents and 22 prime ministers were present. |

During OSCE Summit, President Clinton and Yeltsin, the Leader of Russia has annoyed and jittered each other because of the different ideas about interior war in capital Groznia. |

CONGRATULATIONS TURKEY: All the leaders of the summit praised the careful organization and the traditional Turkish hospitality and they also added that due to the disaster everything was carefully organized. They thanked and congratulated Turkey for the summit. Just after the summit, Clinton and Demirel signed Bakü - Ceyhan project, then they had a very sincere chat about the new TV station CNN TURK. Their close friendship took everybody's attention. |

I UNDERSTAND ATATÜRK: Clinton and Chelsea while visiting Aspendos Antique Theatre. They admired the culture and the charming beauty of historical places of Antalya. Hillary Clinton gave A very good speech to almost 150 people in Aspendos Theatre. She talked about our great leader Atatürk stating that he was a great leader and did his best to preserve the cultural values up to now; she also added that the world owed to Turkey too much as we still went on keeping our culture in the best way…next to Aspendos, they had time to visit Perge Antique Theatre and other places of interests in Antalya. During their visit, the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Istemihan Talay accompanied them. |

AN INVITATION FOR AMERICAN TOURISTS: Hillary Clinton stated that Turkey will play a great role in both cultural and economical fields in the 21st Century. In her speech that she gave in Antalya Museum she invited all the Americans to visit Turkey as she and her family were very happy with their visit; she also added that Turkey is an amazing country in terms of her cultural values and Turkish people is amazing in terms of becoming the most hospitable people in the world. Later she got some information from the Ministry of culture about the theatre, which was built In the 2nd.Century during King Marcos period. After they finished their museum visit, they had a city tour and in one of the beautiful gardens of Antalya they drank tea and flew back to Istanbul. During their Antalya visit, President Clinton wasn't with them. |
